Tunes on Icebox!

When you come to the forums you'll probably see the "music box" so let me know whether you like the feature or not. Each week I'll change the songs so if there is a song you want to here post it in the "Chat" part of the site in the thread you'll see there.

Also, if you want to listen to the songs I recommend clicking on the pop-up play list button which will open it in a new tab so that you can listen to the songs while you browse the site, because otherwise it'll stop when you leave the homepage.

Hey, that's a nice widget. But how exactly does it work when you want you're own player at your site? You create an account, create a playlist, but where does the music come from? Do you have to upload mp3s or something?

But your playlist is quite good

Well, to get one go to playlist.com, or just use the link thats on the player. Once at their site, create an account (it's free.) Once you've joined, you can select to make your own playlist. Once you've made your playlist, you can get the HTML code for it, just copy it and paste it wherever you want the playlist to be on your site. Then go back to playlist.com and go to "manage playlist" and then click on "search for music" Then just use the search box to find the songs you want on it. When your're done just click on save and you're songs will be saved. Then, since the playlist on your site loads from playlist.com, when you open it up on your site, the songs will appear. Plus, when you add/remove songs, they'll change on your site too, so you won't keep on having to edit the code.

Hope this makes sence, if you want, i can post step by step screenshots of doing it if these instructions are to jumbled (I'm not very good at instruction giving as you can probably tell)

Ahh, no thanks that's clear. They must have a large music or mp3 database, if you don't have to upload the music yourself! But I get the idea. It's an embedded player with a playlist. Just like the widget of Google Maps, to put personalized Google maps on your site. I also have a site with an embedded Bravenet Guestbook on it, which is actually pretty cool. You can even adjust the size and colours to make it part of your own site.
